School Meals and Free School Meals
From the 13th April 2015, school meals have been provided by Caterlink Ltd. Caterlink are a company that specialises in the delivery of wholesome, healthy lunches to schools. Information about Caterlink's provision of School Meals to our school, including details of recent events and current menues can be found on their website here.
The cost of a school meal is £2.00 per day, and £10.00 for a full week. This should be paid on Monday of the week in which the meals are to be taken. Dinner money envelopes can be obtained from the school office.
Dinner money can be paid in cash or by cheque payable to Wilton Primary School.
School requires 2 weeks notice if parents wish to change their child's school meal arrangements.
Free School Meals
Children whose parents are in receipt of certain benefits are entilted to Free School Meals.
Application forms for Free School Meals can be obtained from the School Office, or by downloading here. Complete and return your form to Miss Harvey in the office, who will send this to the Local Authority for processing. She will also help you if you need assistance in filling in the form.
More information about Free School Meal entitlement can be found on the Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council website (click this link).
Make sure that you claim your entitlement to Free School Meals.
It is really important that parents claim their entitlement to Free School Meals, even if their child is not taking a school meal. This is because your child's school also receives additional funding of £1300 per year for every child entitled to Free School Meals, even if they are not taking a meal. This money helps us provide extra resources, staff and opportunities for children to support them in making good progress.
