Welcome to Wilton Primary Academy

The purpose of education at Wilton Primary is to provide all our children with the key knowledge to embrace the opportunities and challenges they encounter. The understanding of key values is embodied through ‘Wilton expects we show Determination, Independence, Collaboration and Compassion’. The academy provision supports our children to be well prepared for lifelong learning in order to have a positive impact on their own lives and the lives of others.

We believe that every step of your child’s education is as important as the one before and with this in mind, we continually provide memorable learning experiences throughout their learning journey. We are committed to developing each child’s unique potential within a secure and caring environment. We believe that our children should not only reach their best academically, but also develop a thirst for knowledge and a love of learning. Our children have excellent learning behaviours, are eager to learn and are proud to be academy citizens. Please look at the weekly blog, social media posts and academy gallery to see what it is like to be a pupil at Wilton Primary Academy.

Please explore the website to find further information and if you have any questions or require additional information, please contact the academy office.

Reminder- parking outside of the school on Pasture Lane is not permitted. On the school side, this is clearly marked out as a no parking zone. This applies on a morning, home time and throughout the day. Parking on the other side blocks the road and it makes it difficult for cars to pass and makes it unsafe for children.

If you need to drive to school, please park on the High Street, Grange Estate or further round Pasture Lane to ensure the road and paths around the school grounds are clear and safe for adults and children.

The NHS Healthier Together website and app is a great source of information. It is designed to provide medical advice, support and guidance. You can find helpful advice about when you should consult a doctor and when you can send your child to school even if they have an illness. The parent sections have information about what to do if you think your child is unwell, allergies, child development and lots more.

There is also information about mental health and different areas of this that can cause concern with helpful information and support of how to access support. In addition, there is a section for young people that provides information for them about keeping safe and healthy so if you have an older chid, you may want to share this with them so they have a reliable source of information to search if they are worried about something.

You can download the Healthier Together app to have easy access to all of the information.
